Hi! I'm new to Schrade knives and i was wondering.....Are all 6OT's known as Golden Bears? I'm looking at a knife with a 6OT USA tang stamp lanyard hole etc... never been opened and the package says Cavebear. Anyone seen this before?

What does the package look like? Is it a clam pack? The Cave Bear is a 7OT, under normal circumstances.

Trying to post a pic... It's a clam package with green paper and comes with a knife care kit (oil, stone, rag) and leather sheath.

That's a bit of an oddity. The 6OT is referred to as the "Golden Bear" and the 7OT as the "Cave Bear" in the Schrade catalogs and on the flyers.

Me thinks a run of packaging got through with this misnomer. That's definitely packaging describing the 6OT but the "Cave Bear" name is there beside it.

Thanks Dave. Yeah...I was afraid it was repackaged to be sold as knew with the wrong knife or something. Don't have the knife yet but the pictures online show clearly that it's a 6OT with Cave Bear written next to it. Really weird.
