so, it's my understanding you can reverse a DC motor by putting a 6 pole switch between the motor and the controller.

Does anyone have any pics on how you wire that?

Thanks!

It isn't called a six pole switch. It is called a double pole double throw switch. You want one with "center off".

Wire the power +/- wires to the center prongs ( common). Use red and black wires.
Wire two sets of wires to the end prongs ( forward and reverse). Use red and black wires.
Connect both sets of wires to the motor field terminals. Connect one set the opposite of the other ( Each field terminal will have a red and a black wire).

The switch will now switch the motor Forward - OFF - Reverse

Here is a good example. Sample switch and wiring diagram.

Make sure you use the proper size wire to support the amp load of the motor. Also make sure the switch is rated for the motor amp load.

Edit to fix picture.
