I liked the Walter Davis the best after my friend Warren worked on the handle

The Bark River belongs to Carol and it's her favorite(and a DAMN good knife)

The Fehrmans were tested--Carol and liked the Smaller Last Chance better than the First Strike.

Here are couple of Zeus-almost 14 months old.

What a good way to spend the day:D

What did Warren do to fill in the bolt holes? Looks like colored epoxy? Whatever he did, it looks good, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying 'er:thumbup:

Beautifull knives, beatifull place, beatifull dog, beatifull lady...thanks :thumbup:

I love it. Were the Prairie dogs really slow?
Great pics. That Davis is on my list of must haves.

Thank you Kind Sir:D

Found a woman that likes knives and Hiking---and puts up with me too:thumbup::thumbup:

Walter----

He used some type of Epoxy---I'm sure he will chime in.

Your knife out chopped all the others--and is an EXCELLENT value.

Thanks for making it Bro:thumbup::thumbup:

Wow..that Dog is getting Huge  He is looking good  Good looking steel you had there to 'Ol Bud !

Bill,
Thanks for the pics Bro!!! Nice to always take a trip back down in the old stompen grounds.

that particular Walter Davis knife really really calls out to me every time I see it - someday soon one WILL be mine!

Looks like another fun day, Bill. Hard to believe that's the same Zeus that we saw this time last year!

Hey Walter,
Usually I like to do fills like that with acraglas gel as it retains a bit of a hard-but-rubbery characteristic and does extremely well with shock. However, since the handle bolts looked to be zinc plated, I knew it wouldn't adhere correctly so I just put some brown epoxy dye in a bit of JB Weld, and shaved the bolt heads down a tad so it would fully cover. Still more than 1/32" of slot left on all the heads, so PLENTY of underlying thickness so as to not compromise the mechanical strength.

Warren

Good Stuff Bill! Looked like a fine day out with all the things a man could want :)

Sounds like it's well done:thumbup: I never even thought about covering those bolts:foot: I just wanted the handles to be as secure as possible, but I may try that out:eek::cool::thumbup:

Awesome pics,I love those cactus flowers. I know you are a careful man,so I will ask what thought makes you not put ID on Zeus? Is it so he doesn't get hung up somewhere?
How big is the prairie dog colony?

I have been training Zeus since he was 6.5 weeks old

He knows 24 Commands now(Voice and Hand)

He never runs off
