Hello,

I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about the form of 6061 aluminium alloy that is used in the Code 4 series. is it in the annealed state(O) or tempered(T4 or T6).

Thanks,

Emmanuel

Good question. They mention the 6061 liners on the Voyagers being heat treated (specific temper not noted), but nothing is said of the Code 4 scales other than mentioning the surface finish (hard anodized). I didn't even think of it until reading this post, but now I'm wondering about this too (thanks a lot...:grumpy::D).

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that. Give our customer services team a call, they will be able to advise you.

np! nah, I don't absolutely need to know, even if it's of the O kind it's plenty strong, and actually stronger (less hard) then the T4 or T6! It's probably just that and the best choice as a handle material.

Just got mine in the mail this evening and I love it! Even though it would be cool to have a upgraded steel, say like something a little more stainless like VG10, you guys produce top notch designs with a superb QC!

Keep em coming!!!

Ah I see. It is obviously a good quality knife.

If Cold Steel would produce ''sprint runs'' like based on this model, with a Titanium handle and some of the latest supersteel, I'd be willing to pay 3 times the price hands down! It would make for a legendary knife! lol
