Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the sabatier manufacturer known as '62 Sabatier'. I have the opportunity to buy a, what I think is called, slicer, basically a thin chef's knife. It was manufactured about 30 years ago, but has never been used. The blade is 25 cm (about 10 inches) and made out of carbon steel. On the side of the blade it says "62 Sabatier". On the side of the wooden handle it says "Sabatier" in what I guess is brass.
I've tried googling '62 sabatier' but found very little information. What I did find was the Wikipedia page on sabatier that says that 62 sabatier is in fact a brand, but nothing else. It's obviously not one of the most well known makers, could it still be a good knife? I don't know that much about knives, so that's pretty much all the info I can give. Oh, and it's a forged knife, not stamped, I'm fairly sure.
