650 Nighthawk new vs. old??

For you die hard Buck guys......
Is there much difference between the old Nighthawk and the newer Tops/Buck Nighthawk? Is one preferred over the other? I know the Newer ones have the holes in the blade. Any other differences?

Don't have a new one so can't compare. I just prefer not to have the holes so I go with the older models. Other than the holes that TOPS uses I don't think Buck really changed much from the earlier models, they just don't make them with the uncoated blades anymore which I also like.

I like the un coated blade. The box mine came in says 2007.

I have a all black handled 650c with satin type finish and it is a bear to get a good edge. I don't know if the new ones are difficult to sharpen or not? But a great aggressive style in my opinion.
