Sheath, lined with a full black plastic scabbard, is stitched in bright silver thread with the anvil and "BUCK" looking good. The handle material is slightly soft and very grippy. Plus the spine of the blade and the handle's thumb ramp are jimped. The lanyard hole is lined or is that the tang? The orange color is bright bright bright. 5.65 ounces w/sheath and 4.27 w/o.

Comparo: 486 B&C folder vs 679 B&C fixed: They are both the same length overall (8 & 5/8 inches)! The folder only weighs 3.04 ounces. And feels slippery compared to the sticky fixed blade.

The fixed blade is rubber and the folder is plastic. That is why the folder seems more slippery.

Thank you kindly for the explanation.

I wish that it was practical to make the folder with the same rubber as the fixed. I like the extra grip that the rubber offers.
