I notice the 692s I have seen were all from the 1990s. Only guess I have. That doesn't make since. Could be handles.

It is handle material. Buck uses the 600 series to denote the use of their rubberized handle material. The bottom knife is a 692...rubberized handle. the others 192s.

That is one pretty collection. Good choice too. My favorite knife for butchering.
