Hey, can you guys help recommend a folder that is at least a 6 inch bladed folder?

I tried to search on my own, but I only found a few.

I have:
Coldsteel Tilite 6"
Coldsteel XL Gunsite 5"
CRKT Bigdawg 4"
Buck/Strider Tanto 4"
Spyderco Endura 4"
Emerson Super CQC7 4"

I am looking at:

Sog Pentagon Elite (5"?)
I like the recurve version, but i wish it was 6"

Cold Steel 6":
-vaquero xl...i think it is ugly
-voyager xl...it is ugly

Thanks!

There aren't very many folders with a 6" blade. Two reasons: Hard to get that into the pocket and if you are not going to put it in the pocket might as well have a fixed blade. Second reason is the stregnth of a folder is limited by the pin. The stress on that pin increases with the length of the blade. A 6" blade is going to put a lot of stress on the pin. If you really need a 6" blade a fixed blade is going to serve you better.

But you missed one:
Benchmade LFK 5.2" blade. 6.7" closed length

You might still be able to find a Camillus Cuda Maxx 7.0. . . has a 7" blade and is very strong.

The Cold Steel Voyager and the Vaquero are your only options. I haven't heard anyone complain that they were weak, unreliable, hard to carry, or that it was ugly, though that is a subjective call.

I have both knives and I have no problem carrying either in my right pants pocket. One can also clip them inside the waist on the backside, but the best spots are in the front pockets or in the back pockets. I carry mine primarily for SD, but I know people who have used theirs for clearing small patches of ground, chopping kindling and even digging up weeds and cutting off small branches.

Not everyone can carry a fixed blade and there are states and jurisdictions that will allow one to carry a 6-inch folding knife, but not a 3-inch fixed knife.

I love my Gunsite 5-inch and greatly admire the CRKT M16-14LE and M21-14 for their looks, strength and quick opening. The CSs don't open as fast, but they're strong and formidable knives that come very sharp, mirror-polished blades.

The advantage of a well made large
knife is obvious.

Weren't the REKAT SIFUs really big?
Yes...5.4 inch-long blades, if I remember correctly. I owned a few of them a few years ago. They were a very "interesting" large folder, with an excellent G-10 grip and a recurve blade. The lock on the Sifu was called the "Rolling-Lock" which Benchmade took over in a slightly modified version.

dont get me started on the biggest turd of a lock design ever, the rolling lock lol,

Folder with 6" blade will also have to have MORE than 6" long handle. And that's way too much. Get a fixed knife instead.
