I was just surfing the Outdoor Edge web page, and was kind of eyeing the knife they call "the wedge".
It is said to be made of 6M stainless, and I was just wondering what that is, and how it stacks up against other of the stainless family.
Thanks

The Wedge is made of AUS-6M stainless. Not one of the better steels, it is (IIRC) roughly equivalent to 440-A.

Advantages are high stain resistance, easy sharpenability (is that a word?).

Main disadvantage is that edge holding is not great.

Neat little utility knife, though.

Sharpenabilty is a word in my book, for sure! Thanks for the info.
