Am I seeing things?
I have an Old Timer 6OT and 7OT, both bought new, circa 1988 to 1990.
I noticed today the liners and bolsters on the 6OT are thinner than on the 7OT. (I may have noticed years ago, and forgot)
Overall thickness the 6OT is roughly 1/8 inch thinner. The liners on the 6OT are roughly 1/32 inch thinner.
I always thought that other than one being a barehead, they were the same knife.

Is it "normal" for the 6OT to be less "heavily built" than the 70T?
I realize I have little to fear about breaking or bending either handle.

I've read threads several years old talking about your observation. Also the single vs double bar stock spring issue.
