That's one i recently finished, but didn't find the time to make a matching sheath yet. The knife is influenced by several 6th century scramaseax knives from south germany burrial sites i have seen. Size and form of the blade are same as they were sometimes found (well rusted), but as the ole handles didn't resist i had to do a guess from old drawings and such. The knife itself presents the poor free man's every day tool and weapon.

The blade is made from super damascus (3 colours, 320 layers), the handle from reindeer stag, the guard and pommel from bronze. Pommel is fixed on threaded tang.

length of blade 268 mm = 10 3/4"
total length 418 mm = 16 3/4"
