Well gents, todays the day of my 1st big campout this fall. Clothes, gear, knives and dry foods are packed and ready to be loaded into the car. I'm just waiting for bank to open so I can deposit my check and buy some Ice for the cooler. I'm so excited to head to Nebo for this campout I'd leave now if things were all ready.

My 16.5" WWII, Lisa (20" Sirupati) and BK Bolo are packed for the trip along with a few hunting knives and my SK-5 Carbon steel SOG Tigershark. Found my 15" Sirupati while packing yesterday morning and looks like it will tag along for the ride. Theres a 9" folding saw in my day pack along with a SOG Seal revolver. Linky for those not familure with the blade.

Do to my normal 7am work scedule, I'm always up between 5:30 and 6am every day. Had to force my self back to sleep this morning so I wasn't up at 5am. Got up at 7, took a shower, had a snack and got online. If the stores opened when I got up, I'd be done shopping and fualing the car by now. LOL!! What's up with Provo, don't they know I want to hit the campsite and trails early this morning?? The nerve of some people. LOL!!! :p (a little early morning humor)

The campsite along Mount Nebo is about 1:15 minutes from here. But only 30 to 40 minutes from Mom's house in South Central Utah. She will be meeting me up there this evening. :)

Dutch Oven Chicken stew is on the menu for dinner, Lunch will probably be Sandwiches, with some Pasta for a mid afternoon snack. Watermellon is to expencive here or that would be eaten. Maybe mom can bring one up tonight..... Tomorrow we will be having Pancakes, eggs, cereal and fruit. Tonight after dinner there will be herbal Teas, Smores and hot Chocolate. Stargazing and night photagraphy is on the list of things to do after dark but before bed. :) Lots of short trails leave from the camp sites and I plan on exploring a few I have not tried in years past. Will write more before I leave...

Thanks guys! :) Hope you all have as good of a weekend as I will be having. I'm leaving in 5 minutes. Car is ready, I just need a drink and to turn off the computers. It's going to be a blast!! I'm leaving 1 hour earlier then planned. I'm excited.

Looks like I'll make it a Three day trip. Have fun all!! :D Will write when I get back Saturday night, but most likely Sunday around noon.

You keep doing this and people will pay to come along.
They used to call them guides or outfitters, but maybe with this modern world there's an untapped market for yuppie hikers who enjoy being well fed. So we need a new job description.

I think you may have to buy some Llamas.

Seriously, from what little I know about hunting camps clients pay to come back to the ones that served good food and knew the area.

I'm back! Good food was plentifull. :D Hope you guys had fun too.

Munk, I'd love to get payed to do this for a living. When I go back to school I'll do Outdoor Rec. Forget the computer desk jobs, Outdoor stuff is the life!!

Will write more about the trip in a bit. With lots of pics. Just wanted to let you all know I made it back safe and had a great time! Got to get the phone and tell some others about it. Laters!!
