My old eyes failed me at the gun show today.Among the pistols & semi's I bought I got a MAB Brevete Modele D 7.65 thinking it is a popular caliber.The French police carried this weapon . The bore looks like my .380 Bersa & the magazine accepts the ammo .

Price was right & I was able to do serious dickering. This,a .380 Beretta & a stainless .32 H & R $ 605.00.

Any of you gun gurus help me solve my mystery / big blunder ?

Uncle Alan :(:confused:

It is the European equivalent of our .32acp. Actual designation is the 7.65X17 Browning. Should be able to find ammo anywhere.

7.65= .32ACP

Most factory ammo is overpriced for this caliber. I handload .32 auto with PREMIUM hornady XTP hollow points for about $4 per 50 (prices might be slightly more if I bought those projectiles now...) If I used the cheapest FMJ projectiles at current pricing it would be even cheaper.... Regardless, it still beats $12 to $20+ per 50:eek: I wouldn't use handloads for personal protection, but for target shooting (or other sporting purposes)- I have no qualms.
