Thank God someone's taken away that Bura Sirupati. I've been wrestling with myself since Yangdu's post went up ... I can probably make up a good song-and-dance to justify getting a Sarge knife, though my wife really doesn't understand my fascination with sharp things.

But I also WANT a small sirupati with sweet lines ... just like that Bura one. It's probably not worth the grief, though...

Heck...I'd email on the $35 Karda myself but it looks like the system of posting sold hasn't cut back on much...

What's that you say, Nasty? I can't quite get it. The communication system here is so overloaded (with kind and learned people) trying to talk to each other that I missed it.

I heard you fine!!

That 16.5" WWII is "killing" me! One of about 4 remaining blades that are must-have for my khukuri collection. But...I just ordered a Spyderco Manix a few days ago and a new khukuri is going to have to wait a few more weeks. Can't have it all, or at least all at once. :D

Ah. Jeff, just think. Spyderco Manix (a great folder) is $122. That WWII is half that price (practically) and will last forever.

Great deal for somebody... Won't fit in your pocket, though.

Hey, Yvsa!

"knutiness and madness" is right. I have Camillus HEAT & Spyderco Harpy on order; a SRKW Bandicoot coming one of these days and a couple of HI products too.

Thank the gods I don't drink or buy guns anymore; I couldn't afford to.

And I have a new job, that helps.

Just think, with the money he saves buying the khuk instead of the spydie, he could buy bigger pants w/ bigger pockets.

Man I'm smart.

As a point of interest, that's only the second horn handled manjushree that's been offered. Satori has the first, and in my opinion, going just on memory, the handle carving on that one was even more intricate. I don't know but am guessing that carving wood is a bit easier than on the fibrous horn.

Very nice work by Sher!

All right Yvsa, dangit, now you've got me going again! Do you have a link or picture? This is the same knifemaker, correct?

I guess I didn't realize this fellow was doing a series of these.

Thanks for any info!
