My first experience with today's delivery of my lefty Inkosi is better than I could have hoped for. No need for break in with this beauty. It glides open as if it had already been deployed a thousand times and closes effortlessly. I love my LH 25 and carry it most of the time but the bruising break in time was a long one.

My medium plus hand has no problem in maintaining a comfortable grip on this knife.
It has been said by some that the Inkosi is just a small 25. There are subtle differences externally that can be seen. I'll know better when I take it down someday but it looks like it'll be awhile before I see the insides. I've had my 25 down several times so I will be able to easily compare at that time.

Congrats on the awesome blade, it does look like a small 25, but I know there are differences; is the handle the same size as the small starbenza in the pic? It is a small right?

Congrats.
My dad is a lefty . The only one in the family. I can only imagine the pain.
I am happy it finally arrived.

The handle is about 1/4" shorter and yes it is a small.

Congrats! Nice blade. I should be getting mine in a couple days :D.

Well, you live only a few miles west of me off the 22 or 91 fwy, so why you haven't gotten yours yet is due to the extra weight of the 25 micarta causing the UPS shipment to slow down and the need to take on more fuel.

Congrats.

Thanks Matt. And your dad is one of the blessed 10% who must have felt the pain of lefty discrimination throughout his life.

Awesome! First sighting! :)

Should have mine tomorrow.
:D

Let us know how you like it. I hope you're at least as pleased as I am.

Thanks for the reply man, wow, that is really small indeed; I really like the 25 but I think I'll stick to the large ones for now. Knowing my OCD, I will end up with one Inkosi just because it is a CRK and will have to eat my own words:D Thinking about it more, it sounds like a good secondary blade to have in the bottom of my pocket since I already carry two blades anyway....see what I'm talking about? Knife addiction can justify just about anything, even knowing is smaller than a small 21 and more expensive too. Anyway, thanks again for your reply, let us know how if feels after a couple of weeks of using it and carrying it, I am curious, if you don't mind:)

I handled an Inkosi today and it is indeed small. It is not much larger than my Spyderco Techno. I should have taken a picture.

Congratulations! I can always enjoy the thought of receiving a much awaited knife. Enjoy it, and put it to use!

Stand Straight: Me too! Have a 25 and a LH Inkosi in the mail.
What did you do with your 25 to make it easier to open? My 25 still can be barely opened with my thumb alone. Anyone have suggestions? Open it a gazillion times?

Knifeperson,
I was at the point of thinking there was a defect in my 25 and was thinking of returning it. I’m glad I read various posts here where many people had trouble during the “break in” period so we’re not alone here.
What I did was take down the knife (youtube videos show how), thoroughly clean with alcohol (some use acetone or dishwashing soap or other means) then I gently and carefully polished the bronze washers on my strop removing any oxidation and also did the same to both sides of the blade where the washers sit. Re cleansed the washers and blade. Then reassembly knife using Finish Line Extreme Fluoro grease or the lub that comes with your knife. I use the Finish Line because of the pin point applicator and great reviews of the product.
Now is where the rubber meets the road, I believe. Thumb placement for opening. Your left hand 25 is facing the 12 o’clock position; your thumb needs to exert pressure toward the 1 o’clock- 2 o’clock position with your thumb pressing down at the base of the thumb stud. Try it.
I anticipated a break in period with the Inkosi. To my great joy none was needed. Smooth from the get go.

Let us all know how it works out for you, and out of curiosity, how the Inkosi works out of the box.

No I was e-mailed by CRK 12/30/15 and I don't usually check my e-mail. When I heard you were getting your lefty Inkosi, I called them to ask if I had been forgotten. Heather said said no and as a bonus my Micarta 25 was also ready.

I rarely if ever post, because I'm rarely as excited about what just arrived today - mine seems to be one day older than yours as well. Wonder if I got the first one out the door?
