Hi Folks it has been awhile since I posted any knives so I thought I would show how I spent this last weekend and it was a long one. it really started a few mounts ago when Mike Quesenberry and I taught a week long damascus class at studio 4. all 7 of the students in the class made lots of damascus and one of the the things they made was a feather damascus blade. when I told them I had a stag bowie class coming up they said could we use our feather blades? well you can see I said yes and four of them did and I sold a feather blade to the other two students that signed up so they would not fill left out it took three full days to get them all done and as you can see I did not finish mine but I will some day. It was a blasts4bowies2.jpgs4bwoie1.jpg

Dave,

What a lucky, and smart, bunch of students, to get classes from you and Mike.

You're really doing a job with your school!

Impressive! I only wish that we were closer so that I could have been a part of it. Well done!

Man, can I ask, were these already pretty experienced knife makers before hand? We need a school like this in central california

Great looking knives, Dave. I know most of those faces, all great students with talent and enthusiasm. No wonder the knives look so good.

Thank you all. Red these students are at all different levels all have taking four or more classes at studio 4. Half have there own grinders at home the other 3 will get grinders soon. and I believe all will go on to be good makers. the tall young man in the light blue shirt is a forum member his name is Zane and he has mad skill's he is one to watch he is a bit shy I have asked him to post some of his work so you all can see what this new maker is up to. and it is truly a blessing to have so many wonderful folks taking so many classes at the school.

I miss Studio 4
Dave you are one hell of a teacher- more like a wizard.

That is awesome, Dave:thumbup: Looks like it would be a very cool class to take. The knives look great.

Oh man Dave, that looks like a blast! Some day I'll get up there and participate.

Thanks for the report and pictures.
