Well! If they aren't going to bother engraving the tweezers I don't think I was one!

I know what you mean. I would get one if it only had a toothpick.

Also, I bought a six pack of tweezers for my SAK's for about $2 in case I lose a pair. I wonder if you can by six pack of tweezers for these for $10,000?

price aside (obviously) -i like them a lot
love the engraving
and they do have a toothpick

that would really hurt to lose however..........

seems vic is trying to enter the prestige market with thing like this, and there increasingly priced watches-one ltd ed was 19K-ah, branding

Made me laugh! :D

I've got a 15 (?) year old Swiss army watch on my wrist. I really like their watches. If it ever breaks (seriously doubt it!), I'd get another one... probably not the one for $19K. ;)

Just think of what the guy's in the job sack would have to say about that "purdy knife" during break time:D

For that kind of money, you could hire a personal fix-it man to follow you around all day with a toolbox.

i have 12!!-i love em and buy em on close out-very often under $100, sometimes less, once in a while more,

still-great watches-every one -regardless of price

but my point was that they WERE Generally speaking in the $100-300 retail price market

-now many cost $800-1200 for the upper ranges and while some of these are mechanical (a growing fashion trend-the mark of a 'real watch' as jewelry i guess as well as function) versus the cheaper-but more reliable and sturdy quartz-

these certainly arent 'fine' watches-swiss yes but not anything other than mass low end mechanical -still good not artfully great movements-we wont use 'calibre'- -but they are trying to create them into a prestige item-i guess theyll try to compete eventually with TAG and Rolex -also mass produced mid range calibre for the most part (could be totally off here)

-i perceived the SAK watches for years as as utilitarian workaday / sorta dress up items-

but the US VIC is trying to move into fashionista-clothes, luggage, watches and the like- a far cry from a soldiers knife....dont get me wrong -ive no issue, just that what VIc does really well are its knives -(watches too-but these are all sourced offerings) - but the price of a great SAK knife may be $40-80 bucks-

everything else with the iconic brand is much more ($65 for a nylon toiletry kit-but it has te red shield)

-and i know that items like this $70K pocket knife and a 19K SAK watch are more for 'marketing news and splash' than anything practical-but these splashes do make the Nieman Marcus Gucci Louis Vitton crowd aware of the brand.......................which is what is desired

theres room for everything, the Tiffany sterling silver version of the classic, etc., -but I really like the knives the best-one of the few things that I think has the same quality today as forty or more years ago-

I would say "that's a lot of watches!!!" but I'm afraid to count how many multi-tools I've bought! :o

There's no argument from me about Victorinox entering the prestige market. I was just reminiscing about my watch.

The $50,000 Swiss army knife in the photo is marked "04/80"--80 of the $50,000 knives! That's 4 million dollars! I wonder if there are also 80 of the $70,000 knives?!

Imagine the pain when TSA confiscates it from you at the airport...
