Well, I've hit 700 posts now....701 including this one. Not a huge deal I guess with some people having thousands of posts, but it is pretty good considering most of those posts are probably from the past 6 months or so. In any case, I guess this is more of a thank you to everyone here. There are a ton of knowledgeable and supportive people here which have been a big help.
The first knife I ever bought on my own was a SOG Flash II, before even discovering this forum. After the few years of being on here, I've come to figure out that my first knife is probably the last knife I'd ever buy. I dislike nearly everything about that knife, but it was through this site that I refined my knife interests.
The Paramilitary is what really sparked my interest in knives and am glad I got one a year ago or so. There was something about it that I really liked. The simplicity or sharp lines maybe, but it really got things going. Eventually I made my move towards knife sharpening and that has been a fun/challenging process, but very educating.
Now I am at the point where I really want to get into knife making. Not sure when I'll be able to, but I know I want to. I see people not much older than myself making knives and doing it professionally as well, so I know it is certainly possible.
Thanks again everyone for making this forum what it is.
Sincerely,
Aaron C.
