700 series questions

Is the "Buck" sheild on the side of the handle a sticker or is it a metal plate (or something else)? I've been wanting to get one of these but, every where I go, they are in the plastic non-resealable packages and I can't tell just by looking at them. Also, how are the sheilds attached? Specifically, will it fall off easily? Also, what are the liners made out of brass or nickel-silver?

I've been wanting to get another Buck because of their/your presence on this forum, and soon on the AKTI forum.

For those of you who don't know what the 700 series is, they are the traditional multi-bladed pocket knives with wood handles and nickel-silver bolsters, very attractive and classy looking knives.

The Logo is a metal plate in a logo relief on the handle. Liners are Nickel Silver and the wood is a laminate.
Logos falling out has happened from time to time.
