Today we finally got the deck poured on the last pool I built, 75 miles away from here. Rain postponed it a week, but tomorrow I make my last trip there to attach the deck equipment and supervise the finishers in their cleanup.

But at lunchtime I passed a flea market. Mostly junk knives, a few interesting ones in the mix. A scrim stockman priced too high, $50 with no box or bling.

But one Andy Jackson passed and I brought home a NIB 705UH with correct papers. It was worth the stop.

I even got a giggle out of the seller trying to sell me a couple of automatics marked "USA". Obviously not. What was so funny? They were so well made that when he placed a closed knife back on the table, both blades popped back open thwacking several other knives! Obviously they weren't made on the Safety Pushbutton patent!

I didn't have an example of the little 705, so I was pleased to get this one. Only made for four years in the mid 1980's ('85-88'), it is not one you see every day. Oh, and it's last MSRP was $20.95, so I got a .95 cent discount on it!

Great find Michael!!! And going by your cost of living knife value scale, you actually got it for half price!

Nice. And those 705UH patterns keep increasing in price at the moment.
