I like the look of the 707-1201 with its M390 blade and blue aluminum. But not for $235.

Can I afford it ? Yes. But do I feel it's worth the price ? Nope.

Too bad cuz I've always been a fan of the 707. And to have one with a superior blade steel makes my mouth water.

Huge fan of the Benchmade 707 Sequel. As a matter of fact, it was the very first Benchmade I ever purchased back in August 2005.

Big fan of M390 steel as well but the 707-1201 is only available from the one place that ordered the limited edition run.

Anyway, it was worth it to me even though I still think that's too much money ($245 with shipping).

I understand that if u really like and want a knife then one's budget can quickly skyrocket.

Not sure I'll cave on this one though. Well ...maybe.

Well, don't wait too long. The black PE ones are gone and IMO were the best looking ones.
Also, an actual phone order to Matt may save you some money. Did for me.

I waited a long time for this LE.
I saw what I was going to do to it long before I held it in my hand.
I prefer the satin blade myself.
It makes is easier to pimp the knife.
I made these scales and satined the hardware to match the blade.

Wolverine, I can't say for certain but that was my experience and others as well.

Here's a couple pics of mine. Just stock, no mods.

I really love the look of this knife. It is a little on the small side compared to what I usually carry.

But I'm a sucker for limited editions.

Limited edition run of 250 total broken down as: 140 satin plain edge, 20 satin combo edge, 50 black plain edge and 40 black combo edge. Only the 50 black plain edge are sold out.

I ordered one online, I don't remember why but Matt called me minutes after the purchase to ask a question and gave me a nice discount as well.
He shipped it the next day and I was holding it in two days iirc.

Does anyone like the 707 over the Grip? I am warring between the two and I don't know which one to get.

I choose the 707 hands down. The feel of the solid 707 is leaps and bounds beyond the light and rather cheap feel of the Grip. Valox is no match for Alumnum and G10 IMO.

No doubt 707 for me and it's more the size of the Mini-Grip (under 3" blade of 154CM) than the Grip. Both weigh about the same.

Overall thinner and narrower with much better handle material in aircraft-grade aluminum / G10 versus Valox (resin).

I have 3 mini grips and one 707. The 707 is in my pocket right now.
The limited run looks nice, but I sure won't spend that on the knife. I can sharpen my 154CM if it gets dull.
