Or should be soon...

I don't like pocket clips at the office so I like a knife with a small foot print. The Mini Grip works but the Sequel looks smaller/thinner. I had a Sequel once before and was honestly shocked by the size so I didn't give it a good shot. With that being said, I can't wait to get the 707 in my khakis pocket!

707 was my 1st blade. Still love it 3 yrs later. Great office EDC.

Whats amazing about the 707 is how much blade they packed into that what seems like a small handle. Once you open it you'll see.

Great choice.

Checked my email archives and the 707SBK in 154CM was the first Benchmade I received on August 31, 2005! My second one was 940SBK also in 154CM about a week later. Two classics!

The 707 is my work knife, no pocket clip either, great blade. But as soon as I knock off it gets swapped out for my 710, :D

I really want a satin 705 to hang out with my 710s and maybe get a 707 as well.

I just reaquired a 940. I plan on EDCing it when not in the office.

I'm doing the same but with a 940. I really love the 710. One of my favorite big knives.

Likely my favorite for light EDC, i.e. office carry, etc.

Killer scales!

You still have the email for your 2005 purchase of the 707? Wow. ;)

I sometimes carry a 707 as a second folder, zipped into a vest pocket sans clip, really cool knife to use. Small and light, but not so small as to make it fiddly to use.
Actually the 707 is the smallest folder in my rotation.
Got mine before the enforced MAP thing happened, and even then it was dear for what it is. Still, I'm glad I own one.

I gotta join in on the 707 love fest.....
Here's a couple of my personal 707's.
The 707 is a great knife for a main carry in the office environment.
I also use mine as a front up knife, one I would pull out to use for small jobs or when out in a public place where a 3.5" blade might be frowned upon.
A pimped 707 makes a great gentlemen's knife IMO (love my M390 satin & blue twill).

Thanks for the positive comments! Anyone who is curious that is Blue/Silver Twill where as Keyman's appears to be the Blue twill. Both very nice on Satin.

I agree with Keyman, aint much better than a pimped 707 for EDC. I Love mine.

Yours looks awesome Elite_KG!
You are so right about yours being Silver/blue twill and mine being a straight Blue twill.
It was actually my M390 Silver/blue twill holy 710 that inspired me to do my 707 in blue twill.

In fact I went a little twill crazy there for a little while!

Boy that twill can be unforgiving during thr final sanding process. Everyhing has to be perfectly level to get the nice checker or grid pattern. But its so worth the effort. An added hour that will last a lifetime!

To avoid that Checkered chase (or twill pattern chase)......just reverse your procedure.
First before doing anything else, determine what the final thickness of the scale needs to be.
Then thin the slab by removing the excess material from the back side of the slab (the side that will be facing the liner).
Do this before drilling any holes, counter bores or shaping.
That way the outer surface of the scale is perfectly flat; thus displaying the twill/checkered pattern you seek.

I just got a 707 Sequel myself about a week or so ago. It replaces a 556 Mini Grip that disappeared. So far the 707 pleases me, and I like the thinner profile and higher grade handle.

A friendly email to Benchmade got me a deep carry clip for an Adamas, which works well for the 707.

I did the same they're great, they sent gave me 3 clips and a full set of screws, A set for the clip, one for the pivot, and the long ones that hold them all together. Benchmade.
