707 sequel ?

They had a limited number of m390 blade with blue handles and cf inlay. Also a s30v one. These are both exclusives tho and might only be available on the secondary market.

In what sence? How well it cuts? No, what your paying for is the LE run as well as the very high end steel, 154CM is no slouch for EDC, nothing wrong with it but M390 is a super steel.

I have a 707-1201 coming (Keyman's knife's brother - #88). Definitely looking forward to getting it. Matt will also give you a discount off the retail price on the site. Great deal, IMHO.

154CM is a really good steel, as Cereal_killer mentions. You'd probably be just as happy with one in any kind of normal use (and you can still get them for ~100-105 from a couple sites on the internet).

Of course, if you really want M390, you could just go with a 581 or 586, which are standard production knives and will end up in the 140-150-ish range (if ordered on the sites mentioned above with coupon codes).

I wonder if there's anywhere that could strip and do a deep blue hard anodize like that on a standard 707's aluminum handles. The whole package is striking. They're probably the best-looking LEs I've seen (and why I simply had to have one).

Wasn't the S30V version an export-only variant?

Jesus. That blue handle / black blade is absolutely sick.

Not able to order one through the BM site? :(

I just ordered #90 (plain edge, satin blade). Expensive, but very nice for EDC.

Look at the bottom of the 707-1201 information page at Benchmade's website and you will see the name of the only seller available - you must order one from them. Hurry! :)

I love the completely blacked out hardware and blade with the blue anodized handles and cf inlay droooool

The 707BK-1201s were gone pretty fast. Very limited run of those (only 50, total). There are only 140 of the 707-1201s in existence, too, with well over half already sold. Probably the easiest to get are the partially-serrated ones, even though they were produced in small quantities, since most of us don't want serrated blades.

I just hit BM's home page and they have a big banner in the rotation that shows them.
