First impression is, wow.... so light! Thin like a version 3.

Was that vintage, 1960s-era, brass pivot pin 110 re-bladed?
(I'm a bit fond of those old 110s!)

Nope.....pretty sure it's original! Even has the owners initials and name nicely engraved all over. Didn't find them until I cleaned the knife up some. Version 3 variation 8 I believe. Thanks for asking!

The 110 in the #1 photo looks original. The lower 110 in the #3 photo looks to be the remake/ copy Buck did of the early 110. DM

Yes indeed that is a "federal" in the #3 photo I included for comparison. The blades appear identical minus the serial number.

Buck called it the 'Federal' and it is a copy or remake of their earlier model. Note the serial numbers. Which I guess that's what your saying. DM

Good stuff! I had never heard of that one...
In all honesty, I'm relieved! 'Thought you had altered an original.

What sheath did you receive with your 110 BO ?

I received a standard 110 sheath, which is not what I received with the Federal.Since the 110 BO is the same size as the Federal I was expecting the same sheath.I'm a little disappointed.

I received just the standard leather sheath. I do like the slim sheath that the federal came with very much. I am really impressed with this knife. It is so very sharp from the factory and the brass pins are super nice
