710 Disassembly Question

Hi there, I recently received a 710 as a gift, and braved the axis lock to take it apart to give it a clean and oil. Upon opening it up, I realized that the section of liner that the axis bar rides in does not have a large cutout for the bar to slide down and out for disassembly like other axis lock knives I have seen. I hope what I am saying makes sense, I realize that I should have snapped a picture when it was taken apart, but I didn't think of it! A simpler question would be this: how do you do a full take down on the 710? Thanks so much for your help, and any other Benchmade tune up, disassembly and reassembly tips would be greatly appreciated!

The axis bar is screwed together. To unscrew it heat it up a little bit, for it is threadlocked. Then use some wire to get hold of the screwpart (there are two little holes in it) and unscrew it.
That's basically it.
I hope that helped a little.
Happy New Year,
Daniel

Huh! Never would have guessed that. Thank you very much, upon inspection I am able to see the little holes in the ends of the lock bar. Thank you very much for your help! Happy New Year to you as well.
