I am a sucker for micarta and we all know 710 does great work and is an all around good guy. I decided to order a set for my BK17. I asked for OD green and Navy blue. They turned out GREAT! Smooth but grippy and the layering looks really nice. They are a bit fatter than the stock grips which works well for my large hands. The sheath is one I made that is a little different style than I have been doing. Thanks JD

They look great. I'll bet the fatter scales feel better all around.

Those are really nice! I like my 710 micarta a lot.

Do they still fit stock sheath?

Those look awesome.
If I'm ever in the market for another set of micarta scales I know where to look.
710 does some great work.

Ok so I did get it to snap, but I had to work at it pretty hard. I think it would stretch, but JD may have made mine thicker because he knows I have bear paws and dont use stock sheaths.

Thanks for checking Psyop.

I like the different sheath style you made too! Sweet setup.

Nice looking sheaths and yes I tend to make the handles a bit wider, I can make them almost to factory but not exact. I am very limited on Sanders and stuff... These micarta handles just eat up every type of sand paper "belt sander, dremel, etc.." it gets a bit pricey on sand paper and hours to shape and finish. I thought kabar had a secret underground sweat shop underneath there main office making micarta, didn't know what a cnc machine was until I started making these.

also the bk 11, bk 14 and bk 24 handles are gonna be wider than factory cause I need some meat to make the hardware work. I add a kydex strip to fill up the skeleton part of the handle

Thats some fancy micarta, Julio does some outstanding work.

Also those new sheaths are lookin badass Psy.
