710 question

A friend of mine has a BNIB "second hand" 710 in his shop. I want a 710 bad, but wanted to verify some markings. The box looks right, bit on the butterfly it says "balisong". I'm pretty sure this is NOT a balisong knife lol. Does this sound weird? The fit and finish are great and it feels like any other 710. This guy deals a lot in estate buys and stuff, so having a new old stock knife is not abnormal for him. Thanks guys and gals.

What steel would it be jkarp? ATS-34?

That would be a pretty cool find!

Typically, if un-marked it would've been ATS-34.

I've got a few benchmades from the '90s with 'Bali-Song' label within the butterfly, but no 710's.
They've changed their logo a few times over the years.
