722 benchmade mel pardue

I bought 2 new benchmade 722`s with the plain edge yesterday at a local sporting goods store in brevard, n. c. yesterday and am very impressed with them. Since I have learned to like the tanto edge, this knife has it all. g10 handles which are my favorites, tanto blade which is very sharp and the axis lock. also got a good price. 200.00 tax and all for both. Does any one have any experience with the 722 and what are your opinions on this knife? Thanks. w

I like Tanto's myself, and can't wait to buy a BM 722. I am quite jealous to hear that you could just walk into a sporting goods store and buy two plain edge ones!

And in Brevard of all places! I stayed there one summer about thirty years ago, I guess it has changed since then. Do young folks still hang out at the burger place on the north side of town, near the "dragstrip"? Do y'all still win the state wrestling championship every year?

The 722 is a hell of a knife. I'm very pleased with mine, but I'm afraid you got a better deal.

Thomas, actually I`m not from Brevard. I live in boone, n. c. So I`m really not familiar with the area at all. I do know that it sure is pretty country over there. And it was`nt quite as easy as just walking in and getting them. I had bought benchmade from him before and he has real good prices. So when I heard that the 722 was coming out, I called him and ask for the first 2 in plain edge so he was holding them for me.It seems that he always gets new bm`s before everyone else. He must know someone. And its about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from here. His name is Brad Marcum and his shop is called Marcums bait and something. Can`t quite remenber. He`s located a couple miles out of downtown brevard. Sorry I couldn`t reminise about the town with you. Excuse my spelling. At any rate I sure do like the knives and I did get a good price.
