I got this #73 Single spey yesterday . Great fit and finish ,nice swedge and long pull (especially the "file work" on it).
What surprize me are the textured bone scale and the polished surface on the end of the tang.
At first I was trying to find something similar to Bullnose (see http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1048981-A-folder-more-comfortable-than-a-Bullnose) . And this knife is the answer to my question ----------the bone scale is jiggled pretty even and the texture ,makes me thinking about G10 of some modern folder (Spyderco)-----so gripy, slip risistent ,yet has the beaulty of natural materials ,"smooooth like oiled". Not so fullfill as Bullnose in hand ,neither ez to pinched open ,but for the longpull and swedge ,I accept it .
Just 2 question :
It is an SFO but who ordered these ?
What is the initial purpose for this knife and the "file work" on the long pull ?
