755 MPR Blade not centered

So I have a 755 MPR (steel clip) and I love it, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the blade centered. Well, I should say that I can get the blade centered but only if the pivot is so tight I can barely get the blade unfolded. If I loosen the pivot until it's smooth, the blade is now decidedly tipped towards the all-G-10 side of the knife, almost to the point of touching. The blade is not loose though, there is no blade play at all.

Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Either:

1: Send it to Benchmade and they will make it right.

2: Loosen the torx screws all around then stuff a folded piece of paper in between the blade and G-10, forcing the blade against the Ti side. Tighten all of the screws minus the pivot screw. Remove the paper and adjust the pivot accordingly. If that doesn't do it, loosen all of the screws again, insert the paper same as before, then crank the pivot down hard. Tighten the rest of the screws, remove the paper, then adjust the pivot accordingly.

I have a couple of them and the blade rides just like you describe. I think part of it is caused by the lockbar exerting a force in that direction in order to keep the detent tight on such a thick blade. So I always figured it didn't matter much. I'm sure there's some room to preform an adjustment like was described above, just to get the frame/handles better aligned. It doesn't take much of a shift in all the parts to make a big difference in blade centering.

BTW, I love these little tanks. I'm surprised it's not a better received model.
