755 MPR clip ?

I have a question about the pocket clip on the 755 MPR. I have the satin finished model and want to get a black bladed version.
I have seen one for sale , advertized as new, with a clip that is not at all like the Ti clips on all the other 755's that I have seen. It looks like more conventional "steel" clip like on most other knives.
My question is, are there two types of clips on the 755's ? If not two types of factory clips, then I must mistrust the seller.
Thanks, Dan.

Just one Ti clip for the 755 as seen here.
A replacement clip from BM may differ but if its not the one pictured then it is not original.

That is what I was afraid of. I have seen a lot of 755 pic's, and never a clip like this one.

Makes the claim by the seller of being brand new, only out of the box to look at, a bit suspect.

Benchmade is shipping them with the steel clip now: http://www.benchmade.com/products/755

People should really look into things rather than giving answers based on their assumptions.

For what it's worth I think the steel clip is an improvement, the titanium one looks great but is not very springy.

No assumptions were made. The Ti clip is the original clip for this model. If Benchmade has replaced the Ti clip with this clip, then the statement "A replacement clip from BM may differ but if its not the one pictured then it is not original." is a fact.

Here is photographic proof that 100%, yes, all, of my 755BK's - all one of them - did come with a Ti clip, just like the one I removed from the regular 755 below.

So, how much did they lower the new steel clipped version's price? Seriously, a punched piece of sheet steel vs a hard to machine Ti casting... gotta be a savings there! I do have a clip collection!

Stirring the pot...

That Ti clip makes the knife, that steel one looks out of place IMO.

Honestly, to me, knives look better - certainly feel better in my hand - less their clips. The Boker 'Pipsqueak', middle in my previous picture, a Blackwood design with a .154" S35VN blade and Ti sides with a Micarta scale attached, was new in the picture. Despite it's neat steel clip shaped like a smaller scale version of itself, with the blade extended, it was soon stowed in the box. A few days of pocket carry, it was a gift from my wife, and my 755 was back where it belongs - in my pocket! The 755BK - an uncarried 'backup' - soon lost it's Ti clip, too. I really don't like clips... and serrated blades... and puppies...

I bought mine on secondary market and it is much better than original clip.Knife stays lower in the pocket. Will scotchbrite titanium on 755 so matches more evenly with the shiny clip.

+1

Gotta love a machined clip that matches the design of the knife. The new clip looks homemade.
What is the point of design match if clips poorly to your pocket.Just sayin. Those "homemade" clips are on benchmade website on 755 mpr.
