Traded a Kershaw RAM for a lightly used 775 today.. The guy I got it from worked in construction. This knife fell out of his pocket and spent a whole day between gravel and seven ton trucks and tractors running it over every few minutes. Aside from a few scratches on the G10, it's brand new. Its so true, no one makes a better knife than Benchmade!

it's so tiring to open these threads and not see pics, not everyone knows what any of these models look like, especially for a review, I guarantee my pics will sell more of these knives than the OP, carry on

Pictures? I've got a few... Top down; My 'backup' 755BK, a Boker (Blackwood) Pipsqueak, and my EDC since it first crossed my threshold, a basic clip-less 755:

The Pipsqueak is included because it is a Ti framelock with a thin Micarta scale added on one side - not one side Micarta or G10. Both use G10/Micarta backspacers. The Boker has a slightly thinner and shorter S35VN blade while the MPR is thicker/longer and of m390 steel. I did remove, as I do all of my knives, the useless to me pocket clip from the Pipsqueak. I pocketed it for a few days before noticing chips on the thin Micarta's edge. The old 755 MPR sought it's revenge - it's back in my pocket.

I don't understand peoples dislike for this knife. I understand that it is heavy with a short blade, but they just look fantastic to me. I guess I'm one of those people that don't care about weight though. I carry my edc knife in my rfp and don't put anything else in there (no scratching here), and also edc a heavy multi on my hip.

I'd like to own one of these one day. :)

i would like to get one of these in the near future! I like the look of this blade. Im not sure if i would rather The MPR or Spyderco Techno. They both seem to be great little blades!

I have an MPR and it's sick !!! A little heavy ? Yes. But def not "too" heavy. Unless you weigh 90 lbs. Haha.

That Spyderco Techno does look awesome I have to say. I will prob pick one up soon.

I love this little thing. It goes on every hike with me as a general light use knife. I dropped it from about 30 feet up at work while open the other day and it was fine. It seemed like the edge rolled a bit but it did not chip or have any real damage.

I got one today I picked up on another forum, I'm undecided if its staying or just visiting.............

My first one is on the way! Hmm We will see. Wish it had the ti clip. Anyone make a custom one yet? Thanks

I really like the MPR but how do you like that pocket clip? I didn't try the clip out when I handled it.

In all the pics above, the pocket clip is different than the one on the 755MPR I bought today. Mine is, I believe, steel. The one in the pics looks to be G-10 or something similar. Where might I obtain a clip like that?

The original clips were Ti, I believe. Mine were - as is RICKSTER's pictured above. Nicely made, but useless to me - I don't use pocket clips. I still love the knife... carry it almost every day (I do forget to remove it from my pants... my wife has found it several times as she fed the washing machine! A lighter/smaller knife may have made it to the dryer...).

My first BM knife; liked it so much I bought a second.

Have both a steel clip and the Ti clip; steel MUCH BETTER.

Those are cool custom scales. I too love this knife, but it does take up a lot of pocket space. I have really pushed this knife, and it has never given me a problem or second of doubt. I usually carry it with a spyderco dragonfly.

Best of luck with all of your BM 755s.

Recently got one on the exchange. Had both the original Ti clip and the newer steel clip. While the machined Ti clip may match the finish a little better, it's virtually worthless as a clip. The steel clip is strong and tight, just not quite as refined looking. I pretty much drop mine into my pocket like some others are saying. It's just a little bulky clipped on to some pockets. I was also considering a Techno, but the MPR ended those desires. It's a small, but very usable little brute.
