Sorry this is not attached to your thread - I spaced and created a new thread by accident.
I cannot comment about the aluminum handled model, but I own the 770 and carry almost daily. I really like its feel and the weight.
I contoured the carbon fiber handles a bit - something not as easy to do with the aluminum handled model. Additionally, the CF handle will hold up a lot better to scratches from keys, dropping, etc. You can buff out any scratches.
