I got email notification at 6am today that 781 Anthem was back in stock at Blade HQ. I wanted to check one out in person and they are the closest stocking dealer, plus wanted one without "First Production Run" written on it. Well, I only looked at one AND IT WAS NOT ANODIZED. SO was the bronze ano only for the first production run? I thought the bronze ano was pretty appealing.

What!? Pretty sure they were all supposed to be anodized. Sure wish you had taken a picture of it. Guess that one missed qc somehow.

They are all the same. Maybe the pictures you saw were with different lighting.

Also ask the vendor to get one that's centered and does not have lopsided tip on the grind. Seems to be common as of late as mine and a few others got those issues. Also mine didn't come with locktite in the pivot which can get pretty loose after a short while. Ugh poor qc is annoying from Benchmade.

Not in pics, in person. I got email notification that they were in stock and lit out, just barely heard about them last week from my brother, didn't know they existed and my brother told me

What did the employees at Blade HQ say when they saw it? Did they go get another one from the stock room?

The red haired lady helped me. She checked an after market back spacer off my list, but didn't put it in. She did not charge me for it. I went back after lunch and got it .She said "Oh, there is sometimes a little color" but she didn't go back and get a look at another one. I didn't think of that. Benchmade says it looks authentic and not defective so in other words I'm on my own. They say the Anodization is "done in layers" and there's a spectrum of results because of these layers (she implied)

Never mind! Apparently I saw Anthem on YouTube that had more golden color. Mine is not silver like unanodized Titanium so this must be what it looks like in person. Very muted and subtle. Not flashy like I was expecting...all golden. Maybe I can get that.

So you bought it? Can you post some pictures of it? I'd like to see what the difference is

Mine can be quite iridescent, in the right light.

These pictures have not been altered in any way.
