Ok get your minds out of the gutter. Now that I have your attention. Look what Jeff at www.alphainnovationsllc.com made me. I contacted him and gave a description of what I wanted. I was told I could name it so here it is A.R.T. (Attitude Readjusting Tool) So when a subject won't comply I can say "Comply or I will give you a major in A.R.T. or "I would like to introduce you to my friend A.R.T."
I am so impressed with the machining. The pictures don't do it justice. I wanted an 8 inch Kubaton because of the fact I am sick of pinching the fleshy part of my hand when I grip my Kubaton too low after a grip change. I like having two different ends so I can choose between them for different "I said put your hand behind your back!" persuasion tickles.
Jeff is a great guy to deal with and Super friendly. As far as the price for a like one you will have to ask him directly, but I will say mine was cheaper than any other custom kubaton I have bought by far.

Thanks Jesse -

I'm glad you like it. That is a very cool design you came up with. Thanks for the nice comments.

I like the not pointy bit that looks more tougher than what's available in the market nowadays. Thinking of drilling koppo holes?

I don't like Koppo string on mine as I like to be able to spin it to change which end is up for different applications.

... changing grip in the middle of an altercation?
Doesn't sound like all that great an idea IMO - under anything but the best of circumstances, would make it very easy to drop it - of course, you could just default to empty hand then (but would have lost the time spent accessing the kubaton in the first place).
Perhaps something like the AMOK Talon design? A single bungee-cord loop for one finger, that allows you to switch rapidly between grips?

I am use to changing grips. Really you do it with many martial arts weapons. In fact I am at a loss to think of any martial arts weapon that you don't change grips during certain strikes or between strikes. Even a sward sometimes is reversed or rotated to a forward grip. If you drop it, then you need more practice. I can remember when I thought I would never be able to reverse my grip on chucks with a roll unless it involved hitting myself in the face or dropping them on my foot. Thoes were the day's. The 80's rocked.

Does the "blunt" end have sharp edges like a Surefire Defender or a Livesay Meat Eater? The Livesay Meat Eater really takes divots of flesh when used.
