Hubba-hubba!!!!

Hey Sniper - have you got one like that!

Regards,

Ed

Kevin: Absolutely FANTASTIC! My favorite EKI custom...I guess I'll have to start hating you too. ;)

After thinking these were pretty rare, you should have seen how many people at the Edged Weapons Seminar were carrying them as their daily carry knives.

Made me with my CQC6 feel inadequate !

Kevin: Just curious, did you happen to come across that knife at the seminar? If the answer is 'yes', then just how many customs did EE bring?

oh the chaos!! :) as I mentioned Recluse that is awesomeazoid!!! I hope you love it cause you inadvertantly must've cashed in a lot of karma points for that bad boy.

So? Don't leave us hanging, man! Spill the beans! How'd you get my favorite Emerson?? HOW? Oh, the agony....

Thanks for all the kind words. :) I got it through a lucky trade on the secondary market. :D

Anyone know if this is the standard configuration for 2001 CQC8's, or are some of them chisel ground?

Actually, almost ALL of them are chisel ground! As far as I know, there are only 4 or 5 (John? Don?) that Ernie double ground. That's why I want one so bad!! :D

All of the CQC8s made in 2001 that I am aware of are double ground. "ALL" may be an over statement as I think I've heard of like five.

Nice score there Recluse. I covet your Eight. :D

John

To add my .02 cents to the discussion, I have a double ground CQC8 which was made in 2000. Does that mean to say that my knife is more valuable than the regular CQC8? Heck, I thought it was the other way around..than my knife was not as valuable. I guess I will have to think twice about using it.

As far as the number of CQC 8's out there that are double ground I only know the location of three of them. These have traded hands several times and it has been somewhat difficult to keep up with them.

Dirk and Joel have each sold double ground 8's and I have them accounted for. Anyone else owning one or having come into additional customs that I'm not aware of feel free to e-mail me and get your knives on the list.

And Ed: Yup I've got one. See it on Photopoint if you wish! - (Along with several other customs)

Recluse- That's a beauty for sure, but I must compliment you on the double entendre of the title of your thread !! I am a huge fan of 70's television :)
Great one !!
Donald :)
