At a local blade shop in Calgary, I saw this. Not sure if it is meant as a novelty, but I couldn't help thinking about what it would have been like to work with this 8 lb axe all day.

take one of those hollow ground mauls, sharpen it up and go fell a tree, that should give you an idea
