Anyone have any idea what this model's average value is in new condition?
Or a link to someplace I can find this info?

Was there a magic word(s) I missed?
Perhaps- "I am new here" as the other newbie professed?
I figured that with all the the knife expertise I see posted her someone would have a fair idea of what I would offer for a new in box Benchmade 800...

How about 90 - 115 dollars?

We are really not here to help someone sell their items. What are your intentions with the 800?

Keyword "offer"....
I needed to know a range so as to be able to make a reasonable bid or "offer" on a knife I want....
Thanks...

In that case, I am very pleased that you have good tastes. I payed 110 + tax for a slightly carried 800 satin PE a little more than a year ago. It wasn't a fabulous price, but it sure is a nice knife.

I just want to remind you that Benchmade might not have extra parts for the 800 anymore. So if your blade snaps or you find excessive wear on the liners, you might be stuck. The 800 might also have some mix of hex and torx screws, and they thread directly into the G10 (contrary to present day practices). I got a strippped G10 screw threading some months ago, sent it in for service. The changed all the screws to 2 torx sizes, and sunk holes in the G10 so the handle screws can thread into inlaid nuts.

This is an impressive site... a wealth of knife tech expertise and knife smarts.
Thanks for the info...
BTW I am very much bummed that I lost the auction on that knife in the final 60 seconds... by .10 cents. I lost the multitasking battle of grilling NY strips & trying to track my bid...
I was outbid by a more experienced & savvy "lurker" that placed only 2 bids out of 16 total.
It sucks. I really wanted a backup to the new 800s I bought...
I told my young marine son that (if I won it) when he gets deployed- that black knife would go with him... Never count your knives until the bidding is done?
It still sucks... But I learned a thing or two on bidding... Lurking... hanging back until the high bidder thinks he's got it wrapped up... gets complacent-distracted... and then take him out...take 'em down in the final seconds...
Next time... it'll be my turn. I only hope I get another shot at one of those 800BT's...

I would estimate about $75. Maybe $100 if D2 steel blade. This is NIB with papers. About half that if used.
