I ordered a Buck Strider 880 SP thru a police store. 13 days later I picked up
the knife and drove home. looking at it more closely, there is no edge. no bevels or anything. surely there is something wrong. I will call Buck C.S. tomorrow afternoon and If i can send it in to them. the police store said that
Buck Customer Service would be quicker.

At first I thought you bought the Tarani model and maybe got the trainer, but I re-read your post and realized I was wrong... I'm puzzled and would love to hear the story behind this one. Good luck and you shouldn't have any problems, Buck has great customer service :)

sounds like they forgot to edge that one. Send it in. They'll get a laugh at that.

I was always wondering what would happen if they just forgot to put the edge on. How thick is at the bottom of your blade? It seems to me that if it was thin enough you could use this as an opportunity to put a really thin edge on there, not that Bucks aren't pretty thin as it is.

Congratulations, you have just passed our customer test. We wanted to see if an edge was really a necessary feature. Your feedback assures us that you do want an edge. :)

Send it back in to us of course, and we will make it right for you..

ok thanks, I will send it asap. I don't know how long it was sitting at the distributers of
the gun shop. If there are any updates. feel free to update.

if you still have the box, tell me if there is a date on the bar code label... Also is it the new version with the dual thumbstuds and reversable clip?

Thanks

I would think again about sending that back to Buck. Sounds like to me you have yourself an instant collectable. Sometimes factory overlooks can command high dollars in those markets. Just my $.02.

Didn't even think of that. but it's too late. I sent it back and they fixed
it and mailed it right back to me. Thanks to all at Buck.
