80's Buck 110

Gents,

I have a 110 that I think I bought new around 1980 or '81.

Blade is marked - dot, 110, dot, dot.

Can anyone here tell me what steel my blade has? I assume it's 440C, but you know what assumptions can get ya'.....

Sorry about the noob question. I did a search, but found little to help me.

It's 1980 production and your assumption is correct 440c.
