Another knife from my Dad's estate, this S&W has no tang stamps, and predates 1987 I believe, because Dad wasn't really buying any knives after that. He passed in 1989, and left me a bunch of knives as the only of his 5 offspring interested in such things.
It's not one of my beloved slippies, but it represents an era, so I'd really like to know a little more about it. Where was it made, when etc. If anyone can help out, please chime in.
Many thanks, Charlie

Mid/late 70's Blackie Collins design from a series he did for them. Produced in a small factory* they own in Houlton, Maine. The blade is 440c.

They gave up making their own knives in the 80's,
licensing their name to others(Vermont Cutlery, and later, Taylor Cutlery).

*(In the 70-80's. it used to handle knives and police supplies, now it handles police supplies, and certain recent .22 pistols).

Thanks much, Bob B.
Would you hazard a guess as to value? Anyone?

$100-150, they use to be stronger, but many younger collectors don't care for them, the styling and association with Taylor hurt them.
