84mm widths

Is the 84 mm tinker or sportsman any wider across than say a recruit. By width, I mean if you were to measure horizontally across the logo and continue to the edges of the knife (not thickness which is related to the number of tool layers).

It seems from photos that the tools on the spine require a wider frame.

I looked at both a Recruit and a Sportsman II and while the tools on the "bottom" of the Sportsman do sort of make the Sportsman wider than the Recuit, I don't believe the 'fuselage' of the knife itself is larger.

yes I know the tools will portrude a little more, but I was talking about the main frame, as you specified.
