I couldn't resist posting these pix of the 858OT that I got a few days ago. I had to do a little polishing to get it looking new again. Since I have another put away, I sharpened this one for use. That first stroke across the stone was a tough one. It's always hard for me to put a stone to a new knife, especially one like this.

I bet even old Non-Folding Codger will appreciate this one

Yes, I do like it! As a matter of fact, I like almost all of the Old Timer and Uncle Henry folders. The 858OT is one that I don't have yet also. But... I have my eye on a PH1, a 14OT, and an SG7 Covert. And a Walden 165 coming, and a few more reconditioned 15OT and 171UH birds coming home to roost any day now. And then there are the sharpies I need to get for my two fourteen year old hunters. I just received the 18OT today, and have a few more in the mail. Those should come by the weekend.

Codger (know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em!)

Got to get myself one of those. Will keep an eye out on SchradeBay. Ted, you mind telling about how much that one set you back? Or, anyone else know the going rate on these knives?

The two that I have gotten from eBay were $50 to $60 each. I have seen several go for $75 to $100 though.

That's my sad story--one in good shape especially with the sheath sells for big bucks. But, I keep trying on e-bay.

I bought one about a year ago that needed a little TLC for a pitance, but a little work and it was looking good and ready for service. A real pocketfull of Schrade knife, thats for sure. As long as its going to be used, how about a field report on how it works for you and what you used it for. Some of these Schrade's we collect are obscure enough to warrent reviews as "new" knives, even though they've been around for a time.
