860 days to walk the Amazon

thats some serious bushcraft/living right there. 860 days is a very long time and i agree a book would be awesome

HE is one serious Hoss if he can evade the indiginous (sp?) people!! Those guys are some serious trackers and outdoors experts (true experts, they don't post about it, they live it).

in the newspaper article i read, the tribes people caught & let him go after he told them what he was doing.

He must have his backpacking/hiking system very very efficient, of course he probably has quite alot of skill to go with it, but it would be interesting hearing what he took, and him providing some commentary on his gear.

about his Mac, how many spare batteries do you think he would have needed for 860 days? I'd imagine quite a few

3 batteries, he charged them at various towns. In his videos he says to some Scottish primary school kids 11-, that solar powered gear wasn't so good in the jungle.
