Seedy Lot, I want to do some testing with it in different forms for different reasons. I have almost every low alloy steel in flat form for testing but larger sections in rounds or square I only have 1080, 5160, o1, 52100, w1, 1055, 6150. I wanted something with some nickel. Devin, I forget about L6 and can get it in round bar form so I will try some of that. L6 in other tests I have read about seems to act differently than it seems it would. It is also more expensive by the pound than something like 8670 but it does have more of that pricey nickel in it and carries the unnecessary for me tool steel standards but it will surely give me some form of a standard. When the 3/8" 8670 comes available I will also get some of that and upset it into a thicker cross section. Thanks guys.
