8670 steel!

Has anyone tested it out?

Andy, Phillip, and crew, how do you like it?

How does it compare to a2 & 80crv2? Which of these three do you like best?

Beats the shit out of 80CRv2. I love the stuff. Knife Steel Nerd has done some charts. It's 5x tougher than 1095. Edge holding suffers on the charts a bit because they compare edges at the same RC. The test chopper I made and beat on was drawn down to 62rc. We chopped and batonned and pried. Still razor sharp.

As a maker, it is so much better than 80 CRv2. It comes property annealed. It's very stable, no heat warped tapered tangs. It's sparks aren't as hot on the fingers and it's cheaper.

It's way tougher than A2, but edge holding is a bit less.

Andy, the crv2 steel through Alpha says it is properly annealed. I take it that there is unstable stuff available?
