880SP lock question

I just got one in a trade and had it sent to Buck for TLC. I notice that the locking bar is up against the right side in locked position... Is this normal for this knife (never had one before). With almost any other liner lock I'd consider replacing the locking side liner for wear. There is no play, but I just am a little leery. The knife itself does not look like it's seen that much use...???

Anyone else's like this?

if you adjust the pivot screws slightly you can make the liner engage more to the left, I too have an 880 sp and had similar worries about the liner, but a few tweaks and its back to new.

i can almost gurantee you that adjusting the screws will fix your problem
