The buck 880 series all have the bead blasted coating on the blade. My question is this, do they rust very easily? I have had bead blasted coatings before, and they tend to rust quicker than any other that I have had. I know that the surface is rough and I think this is the reason that it rusts due to the small pits. It is a minor thing, but it tends to bother me. Anyone have any info?

Bead blasting on 880 is very delicate (as well as G10 texture is also very delicate, you may notice this right away) - much more delicate then on CRKT Apache II, for example. I carry it with me in the pocket for a while and never notice any problem. But of course this is just a little to say. I treat mine with Tuf-Close (all my knives) and never have problems. And it is hard to say that the surface is rough, from my perspective.

Thanks, Vassili.

Opening is very delicata also, as well as opening liner - same delicate. This is very delicate knife and exceptionaly strong same time. Sorry for off topic.
