are all of these "original" Schrades ? i know the post 2004 "Schrade Waldens" have the pattern # on the mark side, but what about the Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A. with 881 on the mark side ? roland

Thos are all genuine Schrades, the 881 on the back side of a NY stamp is the next step after a Schrade Walden. Those are all the real deal. Schrade did the back side stamps on almost all of the Schrade Waldens, and a few there after when it was just Schrade / NY USA. The ones to worry about are the Schrade Walden knives with no pattern stamp. I do not believe any of the ones with the correct pattern stamps were copied.

thanks Hal, 'cause i have another Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A./881 coming. so far the only Taylor Schrades i have, have been intentional. roland
